The term brainwashing is a bit of a misnomer. Brainwashing implies that a person has a change of mind and is unaware of what is happening. The clinical term is Coercive Persuasion.

Manipulators use harsh tactics, not just wanting their targets to change their minds, but they attempt to force them. Persuasion techniques become coercive when they suppress an individual’s ability to reason, think critically, and make choices in their own best interests. Techniques utilized by Machiavellians are powerful enough to overwhelm mentally healthy and well-educated individuals. Studies of religious, political, and other cults identified some of the key processes of coercive persuasion:

• Manipulators put the person in situations that result in physical or emotional distress. The individual may not be allowed to eat, sleep, or exercise; they may be isolated in a dark room or in the confines of their own home.
• The person’s problems are reduced to one simple explanation, which is repeatedly emphasized. Are you afraid or unhappy, are two leading examples? Another standard, are you struggling financially? Members are taught to simplify their problems by blaming a particular enemy.
• The Svengalis offers unconditional love, acceptance and attention. The recruit or target are given constant praise and affection. Euphoria and well-being are intense because they typically follow exhaustion and fatigue. In exchange, the leader demands everyone’s adoration and obedience.
• A new identity based on the group is created (Conformity and Group Think). The target is told that they are part of the chosen, the elite, or the saved. These cults require members to wear special clothing, or assign a new name.
• The person is subjected to entrapment. At first, the gullible target agrees to do small things. But gradually the demands increase.
• The person’s access to information is rigorously controlled… Once the target has committed, the group limits the target’s choices, denigrates critical thinking, makes fun of doubts and doubters, and insists that any private distress is due to lack of belief. Total conformity is demanded. The target may be isolated from the outside world.

I’m sure as you read through the list, most of you associated recent infringements of our rights and freedoms upon us these past fourteen plus months. Each of us relates to the world’s Sars-Cov-2 responses and its so-called variants. Everyone one of the above processes has and are being utilized, manipulated to coerce the masses to believe and be fearful of a deadly virus.

• Regarding emotional distress, we were repeatedly told of covid’s release and how lethal the virus is (or did they?). Then bureaucrats decided who was essential or non essential. Non essential realized accelerated financial liabilities and depended upon government’s generosity. Even those deemed essential were not unscathed, stock markets and local, state and global economies crashed (except China’s).
• Second persuasion, government leaders projected their concern and our well-being for us. They felt our pain. Those of us who remained critical thinkers, and doubted and questioned the virus’s deadly premise, were branded the enemy.
• Our government leaders, like Fauci, Tam, Hajdu, Trudeau and provincial Premiers along with State leaders praised the efforts of our health professionals in troubling times. We were told Health care workers were overwhelmed with covid positive patients; meanwhile, these same officials closed hospitals and laid off or furloughed their workers. Those accustomed to sitting in cubical offices slaving for task masters were sent home to labour from home and praised for their valiant efforts in a struggling economy; even though many realized reduced wages and or reduced working hours. We were granted hope, a vaccine would put our troubles and Covid behind us. But first we must continue to give up our God given individual rights and freedoms. You could no longer enjoy recreation within a park, or partake your weekly obligation in church; then arrived the need for facial coverings. Apparently, the same material used in your underwear prevented the spread of the world’s most deadly virus. But there was no need to change your mask or dispose of that contaminated personal protective equipment into bio-hazard bins. The vaccines arrived, yet we continue to suffer with lockdown and wearing our iconic masks.
• Facial coverings identified the user as a trusted believer, willing participants doing their part to stop the spread of such a deadly virus. Joy to you for disregarding your rights and the rights of others. Because of your love for humanity, you will save us all. These special costumes, protective devices many exploited and exercised with glorious pride.
• It was for only two weeks to flatten the curve. Three months, fourteen months later, that ripple still required flattening. Facial coverings, lock downs necessitated to remedy the second wave, third waves and the variants.
• The person’s access to information is severely controlled… What can we opine to this tactic that everyone shouldn’t already know? Mainstream media no longer shares the news but promotes, create news with opinion. Social media, digital dictatorship block users or remove a user’s existence from internet platforms. Anyone with a conservative bend or those you who use critical thinking is removed from social media platforms. Woke corporations release statements berating non believers. Airlines prevent you from traveling unless you can present a vaccination card. They force Conformity and pursue Group Think. Individuals wishing to evoke or uphold their rights and freedoms are videotaped and reported to the Authorities. These Authoritarians show up at your residence in the middle of the night to roust you, threaten you, fine you, and even jail you. You can freely smoke marijuana and consume illicit drugs while destroying public and private property, but worshiping in the confines of a Church is now verboten.

These cult-like leaders hide in our governments and within Woke corporations, they live in entities like WHO, the UN, the CDC and state-controlled health authorities. They’ve infiltrated Canada’s Conservative Party and America’s Republican party. When will the masses awake and not succumb to the fake fear?

People must change, but change is not the correct verb, more aptly learn, discover the truth. Use critical thinking. Study morbidity rates; who is dying who is not; compare yearly statistics. What are the symptoms of those unlucky enough to be hospitalized? What percentage of the PCR tests are false positives, and why? What is the evidence facial coverings work? Does the CDC and health authorities possess an actual covid sample for comparative testing?

I fear that truth will come with violence. Leftist groups like Black Lives Matter and Antifa take up arms without fear of arrest. Disobedience, unrest and the destruction of property and lives continue at their leftist hands without consequence. Meanwhile, Pastors are jailed and Churches shuttered. These Authoritarian, Totalitarian cult like leaders must be stopped and their actions toward Sustainable Development reversed.
