WUHAN - the Destruction, the Lies, the Aftermath

Posted 4/19/2020

I realize the Wuhan flu virus (Covid 19) is a serious and complex matter. Initially, I ignored the flu’s progression, the hysteria and the fake news associated with it. Just let the damn thing and herd immunity run its course. As time unfolded responses (idiotic at best) from our worldwide and local governments escalated, I had to share my two cents. I was not about to be the silent majority who were sheep and being led to slaughter.

My initial interaction was a short blog:

https://randyschiller.ca/naked-blog/wuhan-virus-kung-flu/

This immediately followed with an email/letter to my MLA and the Premier of Saskatchewan:

Dear Mr. Premier:

RE: Covid 19

The Saskatchewan government has decisively crippled Saskatchewan’s economy with martial law. It will take years for this economic carnage to recover from this willful authoritarian fascism.

What purpose did shutting in the economy serve?

I worry for those in retirement or close to retirement. A 50% decrease in your portfolio’s value requires a 100% gain to recover your loss. A 70% loss requires a return of 233.3%. I pity those who are financially illiterate or those who do not have the funds to play and beat the market’s volatility.

What purpose did shutting in the economy serve?

Is our socialized healthcare system that fragile? Was this wanton destruction initiated to prevent deaths? The death argument doesn’t wash. Our healthcare system continues to provide abortion and euthanasia. Let’s add some context with numbers provided by www. worldometers.info. Since Jan 1st 2020 to Mar 25th, 2020, the numbers of world deaths from:

  • Corona virus                              21,297
  • Seasonal flu                            113,034
  • Alcohol                                    581,599
  • Smoking                               1,162,481
  • Cancer                                  1,909,804

I place little trust in Wuhan virus statistics. China under-reported Wuhan virus deaths, plus how many dissidents were killed under the pretense of Wuhan? Numbers shared from other countries are only estimates of `known cases’; many individuals had no knowledge they had the virus. We do not know the true demographics involved with Wuhan deaths and their underlying conditions. Most Wuhan virus deaths had underlying conditions; just because people had the virus when they died, does not mean the individual died by the virus.

We did not destroy our economy to prevent deaths from seasonal flu, alcohol, or cancer. We did not destroy our economy for other deadly epidemics/pandemics the likes of MERS, SARS or Swine flu. So, why must we destroy our economy for this acute case of the flu?

Wuhan will eventually pass, maybe, but we must deal with the cost of recovery fast and soon. Higher taxes obligated by future generations to offset those individuals and business affected by this destructive shut down is not “balanced” nor sustainable. Who will survive (mentally, physically, financially) and at what costs? Printing money (government debt), indentured servitude to the government and wealth redistribution is not the answer. Being gainfully employed is! If the first 15 days of the mandated provincial shutdown doesn’t work, why would another 30 days work?

We are under authoritarian martial law, and the populace doesn’t realize it because with the help of the media and fake news fear has successfully indentured citizens to Marxism through Cloward and Piven strategy.  I for one dislike giving up my rights, dreams and freedoms for some false security that allows a few to control the many. Would the brave men who fought in World War I and II agree to our loss of freedoms that we so easily surrender?

There was so much fake news, misinformation and lies (especially Canada’s Federal government) I composed a list of questions. If our governments were answering these questions, our media certainly was not.

Sincerely

Randy Schiller

The Premier’s Office responded. It was not the reply I desired; it was a brushoff:

On behalf of Premier Scott Moe, thank you for your email.  As we continue to work to stop the spread and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19, your input is important. Careful consideration will be given to your comments and suggestions.

We have done a remarkable job in flattening the curve but everyone is reminded to continue to follow the public health measures, as outlined by Saskatchewan’s Chief Medical Health Officer, to protect themselves and those that they come into contact with.

We are continuously monitoring the situation to ensure our measures and programs are effective. You are encouraged to refer to www.saskatchewan.ca/coronavirus for the most up-to-date information from the province and the Public Health Agency of Canada. We are hopeful that by early May we can begin discussing easing some of the restrictions so we can start taking steps back to a more normal way of life. This will be a gradual process with decisions made week by week as we continue to monitor our numbers.

If you have further questions or comments, there are number of tools in place to assist Saskatchewan residents during this challenging time:

  1. HealthLine 811 - health related questions
  2. Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency – 1-855-559-5502 – non-health related questions

Thanks for listening to a voter’s concern. Who’s serving who here?

When I read, hear incessant news regarding body counts and no rational questions asked, nor answered, I question the validity of government’s reaction and the role of our media. My thoughts, “More government reprogramming!” And, “Why the lies?” I followed up with another letter to the Premier’s Office asking specific questions. Clearly (sarcasm), our Governments had information that the public did not have. But did they? Our elected officials were not conveying this information, if they were, our biased media was not sharing. Normal, inquisitive minds needed to know:

  • What are the odds of catching Wuhan flu Virus?
  • What are the odds of having no ill effects if one caught Wuhan flu?
  • What are the recovery rates?
  • How many times can we get this flu virus?
  • How many Wuhan flu waves does the government expect?
  • How do we avoid a second wave?
  • Why did we not let herd immunity run its course?
  • How many individuals are being tested, or if they have symptoms are they automatically presumed to have the virus?
  • How long does it take for results to come back?
  • How many people had the Wuhan flu virus, were treated and are now fully recovered?
  • How were they treated?
  • How much did it cost to treat the affected individual?
  • What are the demographics and pre-existing health conditions of those affected (minor afflictions, major afflictions, deaths) from Wuhan flu?
  • Have our hospitals realized more or fewer patients since the Wuhan flu?
  • How accurate are the infection numbers given to the government from Saskatchewan Healthcare? Bias, political motivation, and funding skew the numbers.
  • What is the normal death rate (before Wuhan) within our Province per day? Per Month? Per year?
  • Are you counting deaths involving Wuhan virus ‘with’ the virus as having died from the virus; or are we only counting deaths ‘because’ or ‘directly from’ as Covid 19 deaths? In short, are the number of deaths being inflated?
  • How many people die in Saskatchewan each year from the Seasonal flu?
  • How many babies are killed through abortion?
  • How many people die from doctor assisted suicide?
  • What was the criteria used in the government models regarding Wuhan flu?
  • Who designed the models for projected infections, deaths? If your models are as inaccurate as climate change models, we are in trouble!
  • What is the accuracy rate of the model?
  • Did government refer to W.H.O. recommendations?
  • What are future mitigation plans for the second, third, fourth waves, etc.?
  • How long are we to hunker down?
  • How long can we sustain shutting in our economy before it collapses in order to “flatten the curve”?
  • Did the government conduct a review to project the cost/effect on our economy before implementing mandatory door shuttering?
  • What happens after; what is the plan for businesses to open doors and people going back to work?
  • What are government’s plan for those who have permanently lost their jobs (especially those with not enough EI time) or businesses now in bankruptcy?
  • Why did the government not issue guidelines for businesses and individuals so that businesses could remain open and keep their employees working and thus the economy moving?
  • Is the government reimbursing lost income to employees, employers of small business, large businesses, government workers, how about individuals whose pensions (including self-directed) have dropped because of the government’s overreaction and mismanagement toward the virus?
  • Have you projected how many businesses or individuals will declare bankruptcy because of government’s action?
  • What is the projected deficit?
  • Who and how will pay for reparations?  Most of us already know who it is, the taxpayers, but how?
  • Will government employees and officials take a wage cut?
  • How many government employees and officials were furloughed?
  • Have you forecasted how many suicides will result because government ruined their lives?
  • Schools have been deemed non-essential and closed, yet abortions and euthanasia continue to be administered, why?
  • Are we ‘free’ when we government initiates forced closure of businesses or forces individuals to remain locked in their homes? Or the fact if anyone breaks those rules we are fined, thrown in jail?

A perfect copy and paste deflection from the Premier’s office.  Do you feel my anger, my concern? Definitely not the response I wanted from an elected official with direct questions.

Caveat, I have been a Saskatchewan Party supporter since its inception. I’ve been involved for a couple of constituency associations as a director, Vice-President, even President and Provincial Director. My MLA (Cabinet Minister), who is a friend, responded to my concerns; because he is sitting Member of Cabinet I am cognitive that our government must be one voice,  his hands are tied. I hope he shares my concerns with Cabinet.

As an individual who bases his opinion on researched information, I followed up by visiting the recommended links provided in the Premier’s office email.  I also contacted Saskatchewan Health directly via email.

This is the Ministry of Health’s response:

Thank you for your email. COVID-19 is a serious health threat, and the situation is evolving daily. The Public Health Agency of Canada is monitoring the situation and providing updates on the risk to Canadians. There is an increased risk of more severe outcomes for Canadians aged 65 and over and those with compromised immune systems or underlying medical conditions. However, it is also a novel virus, which means it has not been studied before. As a result, I may not be able to answer some of your questions directly. This email is for general inquiries regarding COVID-19. I will not be able to answer your questions about issues not related to COVID-19. Please continue to monitor www.saskatchewan.ca/COVID19for the latest information available.

At this time, we cannot provide information on what the odds of catching COVID-19 are or if you will have mild or more severe symptoms. I can also not provide information about how many times a person may catch COVID-19 since we do not know at this time. For the information we do know about COVID-19, please check this website. It includes defining usual symptoms as well as how to treat COVID-19: https://www.saskatchewan.ca/government/health-care-administration-and-provider-resources/treatment-procedures-and-guidelines/emerging-public-health-issues/2019-novel-coronavirus/about-covid-19

For information about cases in Saskatchewan, including people who have recovered to date, and how many are tested, please check this website: https://www.saskatchewan.ca/government/health-care-administration-and-provider-resources/treatment-procedures-and-guidelines/emerging-public-health-issues/2019-novel-coronavirus/cases-and-risk-of-covid-19-in-saskatchewan

At this time, we do not know how many waves of COVID-19 will happen because the virus is novel. The best way to protect yourself and others is to continue to stay home whenever possible, self-monitor for symptoms and immediately self-isolate if you do present symptoms. The best method to protect yourself against COVID-19 is to practise everyday preventive actions, including:

  • Practise proper cough and sneezing etiquette (into the bend of your elbow);
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water; if soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer;
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands;
  • Maintain safe food practices;
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick;
  • Avoid unnecessary travel to affected areas; and
  • Avoid large crowds and practice social distancing (do not shake hands, hug or kiss).

I cannot provide you information at this time of the average cost to treat someone with COVID-19 since treatment for COVID-19 widely varies. There is an increased risk of more severe outcomes for Canadians aged 65 and over and those with compromised immune systems or underlying medical conditions. Please contact your physician’s office directly to discuss your underlying medical issues directly. As this email is not staffed by a medical professional, I cannot provide medical advice.

On April 8, the Saskatchewan Health Authority released modeling data for a number of scenarios. While this data is not a prediction of what will happen in Saskatchewan, it does provide scenarios for anticipated hospitalization rates. To read more about the modeling data, please refer to this link: https://www.saskatchewan.ca/government/news-and-media/2020/april/08/health-system-readiness

At this time, we do not have information about how long measures will be in place, or a plan to lift current measures. Once that plan is released, it will be available on www.saskatchewan.ca/COVID19. The website also provides financial supports available for businesses, as well as financial supports available for workers. I would encourage you to refer to those pages directly for your questions regarding the economy.

Thank you again for your email.

Email Feedback:

The letter confirmed my worst fears. Our Saskatchewan Party led government followed the herd and joined the Marxist parade.

Within the first paragraph, the statement “The Public Health Agency of Canada is monitoring the situation and providing updates on the risk to Canadians.”  That sentence did not bode well for warm and fuzzy feelings, especially for a guy who’s opinions deal with facts rather than feelings.  It lowered my confidence in this Saskatchewan government. Surely our provincial government that governs under its own health care did not succumb to following federal incompetence and lies. Lies too many to list, but if I were to name two:  incoming flights and illegal aliens stand out.

Reading further, two sentences, caused me pause “… it is also a novel virus, which means it has not been studied before. As a result, I may not be able to answer some of your questions directly… I will not be able to answer your questions about issues not related to COVID-19.” Our provincial health authority could not answer my questions yet our government response to this unknown virus was to purposefully kill our economy under the guise of flattening the curve. The government’s response was akin to getting a paper cut, instead of monitoring how much the cut bleeds, our province removed all its extremities to stop a possible infection.

Throughout the remaining letter there is a common theme “I cannot”, “we do not”; this is not a response that solicits confidence in our leaders. How many lives will be destroyed when this is over?  China along with leftism killed the free world without firing a single bullet. Mark my words, Global Alarmists will be emboldened and more radical in the aftermath.

All deaths matter but I cannot help but quote a line from governments and the women’s movement “My body, my choice”. I choose to remain free, that means a walk in the park, a game of golf, visit with friends, support local businesses and most importantly have the right to earn an honest living.

Saskatchewan, like United States took the position to report deaths of individuals “with” the virus and not “because” of the virus.  Four (4) Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died (as of April 17, 2020). Saskatchewan now has a fatality rate of 1.3%.[i] The term “with” is very ambiguous. I’m immediately struck with a scene from Private Benjamin, Goldie Hawn’s virile husband on their wedding night dies of a heart attack during passionate sex. Would his death be classified as succumbing to the virus if his autopsy blood work tested positive for Wuhan?

Take notice of Saskatchewan’s fatality rate. The number shared is 1.3% as of April 17, 2020). That stat is hardly upsetting. What is the number of deaths “because” of Wuhan Virus rather than “with”?  There is a large discernable difference between the two terms.  What are the demographics concerning these deceased individuals? Did they have underlying conditions? I can find none of this on Saskatchewan’s website. Frankly, I am too pissed off to research Government of Canada’s leviathan of a website, especially when we witnessed countless lies and incompetence from our federal leadership. The released stats are purposeful lies. Why?

As of April 5, 43 percent of Saskatchewan’s acute care beds were available for use, largely as a result of the slow down and preparation for the surge.[ii] Our hospitals sit largely empty for a pandemic that will not affect 80% of us. I expect when the dust settles that number will be 98%.

I hope those of you reading this blog did not gloss over my questions. Those questions should generate questions of your own.

ADDENDUM:

I firmly believe shutting in our economy, locking people in their homes was not a significant variable in flattening the curve. We allow herd immunity for the seasonal flu, where hospitalization and deaths are much higher. Yes, herd immunity would have given us a short-lived Covid spike but we would have remained living out our life (98% or more of us).  Sure, there would have been deaths. If society and government was concerned about deaths, we would not have abortion nor euthanasia (doctor assisted suicide). How many individuals will commit suicide or suffer from mental illness because the government willfully placed them into financial ruin. (50% of small businesses will declare bankruptcy with zero income after two months). [iii]  We’ve known for years of the benefits of personal hygiene and the common sense practice self-isolating when you feel sick. These two habits should be done always.

No government state instills 100% confidence, they all have a partisan and personal political agendas with very little regard for individuals within a free society (guided by a religious/moral framework). Some government entities responded to this virus better than others; South Korea and Sweden come to mind. There are states like Nebraska, South Dakota, Oklahoma that did not issue a stay at home order. Trudeau’s under-reaction was more incompetence rather than being on top of the situation. Some would argue China and Russia did not shut in or lock down their economy.

There is so much fake news and mis-information regarding this Chinese virus. What source does a free-thinking individual trust? Did (South Korea and Sweden) they or did they not shut in their economy? Did they infringe upon the freedoms and liberties of their citizens? I base my beliefs and opinions on this subject or any subject on research, experience and intuition guided by intelligence. If I am wrong, convince me otherwise with verifiable evidence.

Researching (for my book The Naked leftist) and witnessing past events opened my eyes to the extent that leftism will go to further its cause. I question all, especially mainstream media and leftist governments. Forcing free market businesses to close their doors is a major government overreach; it was a fascist and a Marxist response. Are we controlling the spread or are we controlling individuals’ liberties and freedoms? Meanwhile, government powers continue to expand. Feeding this monster governments continue to, with little regard, steal an individual’s earnings and call it taxation.

How can we have “balanced approach” (Premier’s and Finance Minister’s response to my ‘Tax Payer bill of rights’ question at SP Convention) when our government has willfully, without question killed Saskatchewan’s fragile economy?  I like many others who near retirement now must work longer than anticipated. We find ourselves working for the government rather than ourselves.

Saskatchewan like other political states slowly succumbs to Marxist ideals and policies. The Naked leftist should be required reading in every school and especially every politician who claim to have conservative values. Our leaders blindly shift the political pendulum toward the left and consequentially, destroying any resemblance of a democratic free state.

Do not misconstrue my words that I do not take the Wuhan flu serious. There must be some common sense applied. Does Wuhan deserve more attention than the seasonal flu? MERS? SARS? Swine Flu? No one gives a dam when someone dies from those ‘pandemics’, so why Wuhan? We realize so much manipulation from ‘statistics’, it’s ridiculous. We are being lied to, why?

Am I saddened people die from this virus? Yes! Just as I am saddened by those who die by seasonal flu, abortion, assisted suicide, cancer, car accidents, drug and alcohol overdose. Government doesn’t give a shit about those deaths, except to get their share of their wealth after the point of death. I could write a book solely on being an executor to my mother-in-law’s and my father’s estate dealing with CRA, Saskatchewan government, banks, lawyers; incompetence and greed from them all. Work 70 years and your family sees shit!

When we witness reports of free individuals being fined or arrested for failing to remain on self-imposed house arrest; meanwhile, convicted criminals are released from incarceration, and the fact abortions remain readily available what does that say about our society? Parks, golf courses, religious institutions, schools are closed by government decree, but liquor outlets remain open. Does that policy instill confidence in our leadership? When and if this is over, will we have all our liberties reinstated?

We no longer remain a free society; we have lost our self-reliance, personal initiative and personal responsibility and succumbed to the premise government will provide from cradle to the grave. We are systematically being taught not to think for ourselves because our authoritarian and totalitarian governments will show up on your door step to reprogram you. Media and government work hand in hand with this reprogramming.  Are the lives ruined by this government’s (and other governments) mandated recession since the Great Depression worth it? I say no, we’ll be feeling the effects for years! And those working for the government will continue to be employed and receiving wage increases while the rest of us go hungry trying to feed the white elephant.

I believe we are being lied to; the question is, by whom? It’s time for some honesty.

I am concerned and angry ; our great nation is going to hell and there is not a thing we can do about it.

The effects from financial ruin and government debt will be felt for generations to come.
