Remembrance Day

Posted 11/7/2021

On Nov. 11 at 11:00 am, Weyburn Legion is conducting a virtual Remembrance Day ceremony through Access Now TV. You are most welcome to remember the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our country. Please take time to reflect and acknowledge the brave souls who fought for our freedoms.

If you can join in person and stand in solitude for a moment of silence to remember our veterans, please join us at the Cenotaph in Weyburn at 10:45 a.m. (across from the Legion 150 3rd Street). We will stand in silence at 11:11 for one minute, then sing O Canada and depart. This is not a protest of any sort. This is a time to unite as one and remember the very people who defended our freedoms.

A member of the Concerned Citizens of Weyburn purchased a wreath to honour those who sacrificed on our behalf, and we will lay it during this time. We encourage others to do the same, or at the very least we encourage you to purchase a poppy or make a donation to the legion.
